In 1973, First Natchez Bank was idealized and formed on the basis that Adams County needed a bank to offer banking services to all of the community. Since that time, our goal has been to serve each and every person in this community with a full spectrum of banking services and community involvement. In July 1985, First Natchez Bank became United Mississippi Bank.

It is the policy of the bank to provide the entire community, which it serves adequate credit, including low and moderate-income areas while preserving the flexibility necessary for the bank to operate in a safe and sound manner.

In order to meet the needs of the community, UMB has led the way since 1973 by offering Saturday banking. Services and hours are dictated by the needs of customers. Constant and diligent re-evaluation of services and hours is achieved through market research and direct contact with all facets of the market. In September 1995 United Mississippi opened the doors of the first full service banking facility in the Wal-Mart Supercenter. This location, known as the Super Money Market has hours unique to Adams County and the surrounding area. Weekday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This branch is open most holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Late summer 1996 brought even more convenience for its customers with a brand new state of the art motor bank facility on Seargent S. Prentiss Drive. This branch has six drive through lanes -- two of them commercial, meaning customers are able to use bags up to 25 pounds in their transactions. Weekday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The facility has room for up to 80 cars at one time. A full service, 24-hour ATM is also located at this branch.

As United Mississippi continued to grow it was necessary to build a new location for our Fayette Branch. In May of 1996 a new location was opened complete with three drive through lanes (the first in Jefferson County, a community room and an ATM (also a first for Jefferson County).

In 2002 an ATM was added to the Morgantown Branch along with opening the drive through from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily to accommodate customers with a need for non-traditional banking options.

In October 2003 United Mississippi Bank merged with Commercial Bank in Woodville and Centreville adding three more locations to its system. With the merger, UMB expanded the hours of the locations in that area to accommodate the needs of our customers.
