Jeffrey P. Kilgore, P.L.C. is primarily a transactions practice in the areas of real estate, estate planning and probate. The real estate practice consists of representing, purchasers, sellers and financial institutions in commercial and residential real estate. It also includes serving as exchange trustee in “like kind” or “1031" transactions. The practice is often called upon create and advise profit and non profit corporations, tax exempt corporations, and limited liability companies.

Estate planning involves drafting wills, trusts, and advance directive (health care powers of attorney and living wills) documents. Probate matters include representation of all parties in probate court as well as serving as trustee, executor or administrator.

The practice also represents municipalities and landlords and from time to time, represents tax payers in administrative proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Kilgore is admitted to practice in Vermont, Maine, the United States Tax Court, the Federal District Court of Vermont and the Federal District Court of Maine. He is a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
